On January 29,2016, I had an hour long meeting with my friend, Governor Matt Bevin. The meeting was very productive . But the most important part of my busy and event filled day with our Governor was a moment of prayer! I look forward to being part of a team with integrity, leading our state. Together, we can! Citizen's united for a better Kentucky, for a better tomorrow!

Early on in my campaign announcement I made reference to our police officers being under paid. Then in early December, an article by Ryan Adams of WYMT appeared on their website substantiating my claim. I also made reference to the KTRS needing "fixed" as our teachers retirement/pension program was in financial jeopardy. Once again, my claim has been substantiated. In an article appearing on the front page of today's Herald Leader, John Cheves does a very good job in breakingdown the seriousness of the problem with the funding, or lack of, with the KTRS. Some folks in the Democrat party, like House Speaker Greg Stumbo of Prestonsburg, want to keep borrowing money to invest with hopes of gain, while others want to just keep dumping money into it without fixing the problem. I think it's time to stop "kicking the can" and actually address the issue in a responsible manner. If elected, I will take the concerns of my constituents of this issue, and others already mentioned to Frankfort and fight for the people of the 99th district.

I want to thank Ryan Adams of WYMT for bringing further attention to the fact of our State Troopers being under paid .

Since my announcement as a candidate for the 99th District (Elliott, Lewis, and Rowan Counties) House of Representatives, I have been calling for increased safety and compensation for law enforcement officers across the state. And I look forward to meeting and working with state and local law enforcement agencies in the near future to ensure raises in compensation, and to get a better understanding of what is needed to ensure greater safety for those who serve the citizens of Kentucky.

I believe Kentucky boasts of some of the finest in the business. Thank you for serving the citizens of Kentucky, and the dedication and commitment you bring in keeping us all safe.

In closing, would you please consider making a donation to my campaign?  Any amount would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support.  And remember; Citizens united for a better Kentucky, for a better tomorrow.
